5. Oversize .............. : (none)
6. Character Set .......... : bracket (CP 37*)
7. SSL Tunnel ............. : No
8. Verify host certificates : No
9. Proxy .................. : (none)
12. wpr3287 Printer Session : No
17. Keymaps ................ : (none)
19. Font Size .............. : 12
20. Background Color ....... : black
21. Menu Bar ............... : Yes
22. Trace at start-up ...... : No
23. Edit miscellaneous resources with Notepad

This all seems OK, but then again, I don't use WC3270.

May I suggest you download Tom Brennan's Vista TN3270 and try to connect with that one? You can use it for 30 days without registering, and it's (probably) better supported than WC3270.

And please, please, please read Rules for using z/OS - updated 2014-08-27, and preferably also all postings in the Mainframe FAQ!

If someone using WC3720 happens to login, you might get another answer, if not, tough!

I installed WC3270 on my travel laptop perhaps 3 years ago. I connected to Fandezhi with no trouble at all. I know there are a few WC3270 users in our user community, but I do not know how often they check this forum. I checked the obvious parameters - host name and port, and they look OK. So, be patient.

One more thing, check your firewall. At my last place of work "fandezhi.efglobe.com" was firewalled...

Mr. Prins is completely correct. It may be port 23 rather than the URL that's causing the problem.

Thank you so much Robert and Steve.

I already managed to connect me. :D !!!!!!!

I found the problem and apply the solution.
My problem was that there is an http proxy in network in which I connect. I've indicated in the wc3270 Session Wizard, and problem solved.

Best regards.
